ForestBeyond - an interactive meeting and market place for initiating innovations based on forest based materials

Renewal of the forest industry is needed for a prosperous future. Advanced academic research already exists. But how can the gap between research and innovation be minimized?
The aim of ForestBeyond is to establish meeting and market places for Innovation, where researchers and industries can integrate with each other, thus making it possible to discover and take into account the long-term needs of industries. The basic concept is to create a forum structured around a clearly defined subject, where researchers can network with different innovation partners in order to see the innovation potential of their own research for their future benefit. It is aimed at research institutes and excellence centres that are in the vicinity of the Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm (KTH).

We hereby invite you to ForestBeyond Event 28th of October 2010 in Stockholm, we want you to be part of it.

The title of the forum, "New engineering material from the forest", unmistakably reflects the theme of the event - a forum for researchers, innovation partners and industry representatives for intensively attempts to deal with today´s challenge of replacing metal-based materials with new cellulose fibre-based materials.
